The HAMD Centre invites individuals and organizations to collaborate on research projects on a quarterly or long-term basis. Please see the About section for the scope of projects.

science Communication

Science Communication consists of scientific writing and editing services for various audiences ranging from the public to professional experts in specific fields. This service usually includes:

• Preparing and working on long form or short form writing, such as articles, progress reports, presentations, book manuscripts, and social media posts

• Reviews of published books, ongoing events and other media

• Research and literature reviews

• Copy-editing

• Proof-reading

• Fact-checking

• Stylistic formatting

Literature review

For projects that require a review or critical evaluation of previous literature, and research studies on a specified topic, literature review services ensure the following is delivered:

• A list of references

• The requested write-up

Search engines like Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct and EBSCO are commonly used for these healthcare projects.

Research Analysis

The HAMD Centre is equipped to provide:

• Qualitative analyses such as thematic analysis, and content analysis, using qualitative data.

• Mixed-methods research services, including quantitative analyses for descriptive and correlational research.

peer Review & Critique

Feedback and critique services are provided for journal manuscripts, books, articles, student dissertations or theses, and other writing projects that fall under the scope of the HAMD Centre. This includes feedback on:

• Literature review and references

• Research methods and analyses

• Writing style and readability

• Minor edits

• Suggestions related to the research and publication

Various reference formatting services for writing projects including journal manuscripts, books, essays, reports and other documents are provided by the HAMD Centre. Two citation styles that are commonly used in healthcare writing projects are:

• APA

• Vancouver

Publication preparation services are primarily related to research article publications in peer reviewed journals. These include the following:

• Editing, copy-editing and proof-reading

• Fact-checking or reference updates

• Stylistic formatting to meet the journal requirements

• Support with registering on journal submission portals and submission to selected journals

• Correspondence related to journal article submissions

• Revision of manuscripts based of journal reviewers’ feedback

• Any other related publication support

This service is aimed at research students, interns or trainees, who are looking for research-related advice, feedback, and guidance on their research projects. Please see the About section for the scope of projects.

The support offered under this service, however, does not include completing the research writing project on behalf of the client.

Shaheen M. is an Integrative Counsellor, primarily specializing in Person Centered Counselling. He is a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

His approach focuses on providing a warm and positive environment based on the principles of the Person-Centered model. He also has specialized training in grief counselling and Islamic sciences. This allows him to provide faith-based insights and perspectives — when called for — during sessions. He works with charitable agencies such as Mental Health Independent Support Team (MHIST) and Cruse Bereavement Support in the United Kingdom. He helps clients manage and understand various problems that tend to occur in life, including those related to anxiety, relationships, self-esteem and confidence.
